Welcome to Quayside my town by the seaside!

WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

The Grand Quayside hotel!

This is the latest arrival in the village! The Grand Quayside hotel! Its not a Julie house unfortunately as she tends to make smaller houses which wouldn't really suit a big hotel. I did buy it from Julie though and she said after she was very sad to part with it so I really hope I do it justice! It was made by Trevor and Sue Cook in 1992 so its bordering on being Vintage. Its beautifully made, all wood which is a big thing for me as all my houses are wood! Apart from painting the path to match in with the village I haven't had to do a thing as it was all beautifully decorated. I like that it had a modern feel inside though as my only worry was it would feel like my Victorian house but it doesn't at all and I really couldn't have found a better hotel!

Repainted path and a couple of plant pots added.

I plan to add a conservatory one day to add an extra room, probably a cocktail lounge. For now I added the awning and the car with the first guests arriving!

This is how the inside looked before I started filling it up!

I love the real stairs and hallways!

Lovely decoration and beautiful wooden floors!

I did actually have a lot to go in here already as its all moved over from the B & B

Polly is in the dining room preparing the breakfast buffet.

The wallpaper in here couldn't have been more perfect to go with my units!

This room is the honeymoon suite. The bath is probably a bit much but I liked it so squeezed it in for the newly weds to have long romantic bubble baths!

This is the Captains room! He is a permanant resident and his room is kept for him when he is out at sea!

Ships wheel bed and lovely quilt of course made by Deb!

On the top floor is another pretty bed although I may give this room a different theme! Beccy is the new chambermaid and is cleaning the room just in case its needed!

The modern seaside bedroom for the more discerning visitors!

Sybil is manning reception although I think I may change the desk for something a bit more formal!

I had to add a few extra rooms to the keys board!

Basil is in the empty kitchen wondering how they are going to feed anyone!

Next job is the lighting which arrived today .That will be fun with so many rooms....NOT!! It will look amazing all lit up though!

New vintage blog please pop by!!

As promised today I have a vintage update but not here! I decided it was better to keep the vintage and Village separate or there would have been so many links it would of all got a bit confusing! I have spent the past few days updating all the links for all the houses so they should all be up to day at least for now lol things change quickly but I will try and not let them get quite so behind again!

Here is the link to my new vintage Dollyland I do hope you have time to stop by and say hello :-)

HOW LONG!!!! Village update today vintage will follow!

Oh my goodness just realised I have not updated my blog since July that's pretty shocking and I do apologise lol. I tend to post on my Facebook group and sadly have neglected my blog so from now on I will try and keep more updated!

Lots of new arrivals some in the village and some vintage! I will start today with the village and will do another update with all my new vintage houses tomorrow!

Just new this week is Boathouse cottage which I bought from my lovely friend Deb. Sadly she was selling her collection so owning it is bittersweet but its a fabulous addition to the village and one I have always loved! Of course there is no room so its one in one out and I had to part with a couple of houses to fit new ones in! The small gallery and Rose cottage have gone to a new home with my good friend Carol which freed up some funds and some space!

It looks fabulous all lit up and is a fantastic addition to the village

Boathouse cottage was crying out to be a lovely gallery with those windows so I moved everything straight into it!

Display cabinet with glass animals is so lovely when lit!

Room to add more lovely things as I find them!

Paintings by my brother based on a full size on he did in my real Life house!

Upstairs is a seafood eaterie just waiting for some! Its not easiest thing to find!

Boat shelf I made for Deb came back with the  cottage!

2 lovely new arrivals came with the Boathouse! Meet Bill and Maggie! Bill is Bobs brother and lived in the next village but have decided to move to Quayside!

The doctors has moved out of Rose cottage an its now above the shop! it works well here!

I have plenty of stuff to fill the shelves I just need to get round to it!

Needs some more patients! I never seem to have enough dolls even though I have over 100 already!

I decided I wasn't loving the dolls house shop and decided to do a toyshop instead!

Cute Erna Meyer little girl with her dolly!

Kept a few dolls houses of course! the lovely real oil paintings were from Ebay

Love all the teddies and dollies in the cot!

I got this gorgeous little doll from Ebay! She had white blonde hair and with her little hair band and trendy outfit she looked just like Bethany when she was little! I already had the pushchair and she looked so cute it in!

I also treated the villagers to a new bus! Its made from tinplate the same as the car. I just thought it was so much fun!!

My poor ladies have been at the bus stop for an age! At least they are now almost at the shops!

My new bus driver Alex. Well he did need a new job! ;-)

There's also a grand new arrival due this week so I will be back very soon with more village news!!
