Ocean View - The Fishermas Plaice

My little teeny tiny shop front arrived today made as always by the lovely Julie! I did think for one fleeting moment I would have a go myself but decided I would never make it look as good so quickly came to my senses lol! Its so tiny and cute and is perfect for the little space I had left in the village square. I always wanted a chippie but to do the inside of one would have cost a small fortune so this is a good compromise! So we here we have the Fishermans Plaice the best place for fish and chips for miles around!!

Bethany of course made all the graphics shes my ace signwriter although its always under protest lol . I love the little name plaque of course made by Julie Lawton, the little boat on it is so cute! I need to find some things to put on the shelf but it seems salt and vinegar are not easy to find so think I will have to be inventive!

I got some fabric at the DH fair at the weekend for about 65p which is the perfect colour. I used it to add a canopy to give it a little more interest. The only slight query I have is whether the canopy should be lower but I felt it really closed the square off so I made it higher .

Denzil is sitting out side enjoying his fish supper! (always haddock in Scotland) Julie very kindly sent me some of the blue she used so I painted the table and benches to match. I do like things to match lol!

This is the view of the village square with Ernie snoozing on his favourite bench. I am going to make some fencing tomorrow to enclose the chip shop eating area.  I love how its turned out and now the villages can have lovely fresh fish and chips!

Another little thing I made today was a funky lips light for the vintage shop. We were walking in the forest with the dogs up at the caravan and I spotted it on the ground and thought hmmm I can make something with that! It was actually a little lipgloss so I took off the back added a bulb and now its a funky light. Its was a little hard to photogragh but it looks great lit up in the the shop!
