WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE



Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! A change from all the pretty things....a pot of eyeballs!!!

Today a fab little hourglass I ordered from Ebay a few days arrived. I have been looking at it for ages and as I was ordering a white mannequin from the same seller I thought I would treat myself! I was wondering if when it arrived it would be a bit big as you can't always get an idea of the size from a picture, but its super tiny and super cute I love it! I also remembered a little pumpkin teapot I bought ages ago!I bought them for the the witches in Broomstick Cottage so I decided to have a little play in there today to make a change from all the pretty stuff!



I thought I would have my first try with some Scenic water. I bought a pot last year from the DH shop but for some reason it terrified me lol! But today I thought right lets do it!!

I made lots of jars of potions although I still have lots more jars so will make even more to fill the shelves. Will add some labels tomorrow but quite pleased how they turned out. I also made a jar of eyeballs which freaked my other half right out! Used some of the tiny stick on googly eyes and just dabbed red marker pen on the back and filled with the scenic water I think they look great! The test tubes were a nightmare to fill as the holes at the top were the size of a pin and I made a right mess doing those!!



 I also made a box of frogs as I missed out on one on Ebay a while ago and thought to myself I could maybe make that! So I used a little plastic box with a bit of gravel and reindeer moss and 2 tiny frogs from Ebay. Added the scenic water and they look right at home in there. Sorry about the rubbish photo the camera just would not pick it up!



The shop is filling up nicely with lots of hats now on display. Pride of place is the orange one by KAT THE HAT LADY and my effort at customising is at the front. I love her hats and hope to another one soon!

    They're extremely good Paula, I've never tried scenic water either! Love all the witchy things, very spooky, and those witchy hats are amazing!

    They are fantastic :). I really want to try making a fish tank using scenic water but just haven't had time to try it yet.
